Regions of partially calcined lamellar materials, when observed by TEM can be mistaken for hexagonal material. In no cases are specimens produced that were unambiguously hexagonal. It is concluded that the hexagonal material exists, if at all, only as a minor component of a larger lamellar structure when phosphate surfactants are used. Ti-TMS1 therefore remains elusive. }, year = {1997}, journal = {Chemistry of Materials}, volume = {9}, pages = {2690-+}, month = {12/1997}, isbn = {0897-4756}, language = {eng}, }
